It’s time to gather your RMTS information for all staff participating in the School-Based Medicaid time study for the 2nd Quarter of FY 2016 (10/1/15 – 12/31/15). Categorizing staff accurately is crucial to compliant claiming. Please review staff licensing to ensure job descriptions are coded accurately with respect to “Medicaid Definition” and “Medical, Yes or No.” If MSB is your RMTS coordinator, we will be contacting you regarding your RMTS Q2 update.
For all others, please note there are additions to the RMTS extract file: ‘New Hire Date’ and ‘Actual Job Title.’ Please fill in the New Hire Date where appropriate for new participants. You must complete the Actual Job Title field for all participants. Once you have added this information for all of your participants, it will show up in the following quarter’s extract for you.
New for FY15: Please be sure to exclude staff from the time study who are already claimed through the application of the indirect cost rate. Reference School-Based Medicaid Program Bulletin #28, July 2015 for further information.
As you did last quarter, you will need to complete the process of uploading your participant information directly into the RMTS system no later than September 4, 2015.

In order to obtain the most current information in our system, you must pull your File Extract for 2nd QUARTER FY16. The new fields are referenced in the guide.
